Castle Hill is a Grade 2 listed Georgian house located close to the centre of Bakewell in superb south-facing grounds. Formerly used as a boarding house by Lady Manners School it was purchased by Cathelco on an unconditional basis.

After lengthy and complex negotiations with the Peak District National Park Authority detailed planning and listed building consents have been secured to convert the original building to 8 new houses, substantially restore and extend a further house in the grounds and to contruct two entirely new houses overlooking Bakewell Bridge.

These new houses are large and highly contemporary 'grand designs', part earth sheltered, each with a glazed atrium and full height glazed walls on the south elevation.

Construction will commence in January 2006 with completion due by the end of the year.
