High quality development totalling 25 individually designed dwellings.
Cathelco purchased the site on an unconditional basis from PowerGen and secured planning consent for conversion of a historic hydro into houses and apartments. The planning issues were complex as the site is outside the Settlement Development Limit and in a Special Landscape Area.
The development involved the demolition of poor quality buildings on the site and replacement with 9 new houses. The project was sold on to Fairclough Homes who carried out the construction. Cathelco also provided an adjacent site for 6 affordable dwellings which was carried out by the Peak District Rural Housing Association.
